Exchange Credit Evaulations for Language Courses

If you complete a language course while on your exchange, please be prepared to submit the following materials to ensure an accurate evaluation.

Course textbooks, outline and syllabus, including information on:

  • course pre-requisites
  • dates and time
  • contact hours per week (plus lab hours if applicable)
  • length of course in weeks
  • credit value
  • course objectives
  • evaulation method
  • week by week break down of topics covered
  • key topics
  • instructor's name


  • copies of your assignments, test and papers as graded

Reading list and supplemental materials

  • textbook title and author
  • reference materials (eg films, novels, articles, etc)
  • recommended reading
  • guest speakers

Please be advised that inadequate course information and materials can result in exchange credit evaluation delays and requests for additional information.  Credits will be awarded only if required information is provided.  It is your responsibility to ensure you have sufficient course materials for the exchange credit evaulation at SFU.
